Would you like to give back? Are you considering volunteering but aren't sure where or how to start? Do you desire to meet others who have similar beliefs and interests as your own? Have you given any thought to becoming active in your church community?
Volunteering is an excellent way to meet new people and contribute to a stronger community. Meaningful and fulfilling opportunities await, whether you choose to get engaged as an individual, a couple, a family, or a friend group. You are a special person with a unique ability to give that no one else has.
"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." - Galatians 6:10
Here are a few ways you can volunteer with us!
KINGDOM KIDS
We cherish each and every child that walks through our doors and offer several program's dedicated to our children. We are always looking for help during Sunday services in our "Church Nursery" (ages 1YR - 4YR) and "Big Kids Church" (ages 5YR - 12YR).
Twice a year we also offer a "VBS" program (Vacation Bible School) and we heavily rely on volunteers for this program. We offer one 5 day program over spring break in April and another during the summer months which also runs for 5 days.
Whether you want to volunteer your time teaching, baking, serving food, reading to children or setup/take down you are needed!
TECH
There are always lots of "behind the scenes" work that happens to keep our Church running smoothly. These things include but are not limited to the following:
- Operating the sound board.
- Running the powerpoint during the Sunday service.
- Video recording and editing.
If you have experience or interest in tech related jobs and have a desire to give back we would LOVE to hear from you!
MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals on Wheels plays a vital role in our community by providing hot nutritious meals to Estevan seniors and shut-ins 5 days a week, 52 weeks of the year, enabling them to maintain their health and independence at home for as long as possible. Meals are picked up at the hospital at 11:15 AM and take less than an hour to deliver. Estevan Home Care is looking to recruit new volunteers to lend a hand in this important and long-running program in our city.
